	Priest found murdered in Khanewal -DAWN - Top Stories; 06 January, 2004
		On search, the police learnt that the deceased was Mukhtar Masih (51), a resident of Khurrampura colony and a priest at the local Protestant church.
		The family of the deceased told the police that he had left home at about 3am to catch a train for Lahore to attend a meeting about some administrative affairs of the church.
		Khanewal District Police Officer Dr Jameel said the Christian community of the area was waiting for the arrival of its bishop from Sheikhupura for the registration of the case.

		Local police said that two men riding a motorcycle opened fire with automatic weapons on Tahir as he sat in his car in Khanewal, 50 kilometers (30 miles) east of here, before fleeing the scene.
		The attack comes three years after Tahir's father, Syed Zahirul Hassan Tirmizi, was shot dead in 1997 in Khanewal, where he was president of the TJP's district branch.
