 Eco-Ethics International Union: EEIU Kherson
EEIU Kherson was initiated by Olga Ponomar, head of a scientific laboratory in Kherson, who originally formed the regional "Association of Young Researchers of Social and Practical Ecology" for youths age 14-17.
The Association's activities have included 1) ecological monitoring of the Lower Dnipro, the river on whose right bank Kherson is located, 2) preservation and revival of the oldest city park, founded along with the city in 1778, 3) educational activities and 4) participation in local and international conferences, projects and programs.
EEIU Kherson will work with the Association to further the concepts and theses of eco-ethics in the Kherson area.
