I think English khutbas would inspire the youth immensley, but the problem is that 90% of our Imamas can't speaak English fluently.
Possible alternatives are getting people who are bi-lingual, to read a part of the khutba, after drafting a script with the Imam.
Certain parts of the khutba have to be in Arabic, but the rest can obviously be in a language that the congregation understands, otherwise it just implies that the imam has no respect or consideration for his congregation, which hardly encourages our youth into thinking that they are a valuable element of our community.
