  Friday Khutbah
This is a clear indication from the Holy Qur'aan that the basic purpose of Khutbah is Dhikr and not the Tadhkir and that it is a part of the worship rather than being a normal lecture.
Khutbah is a part of the Jumuah prayer, hence a mode of worship.
Those who believe that the Khutbah may be delivered in a non-Arabic language do not believe that the Arabic Khutbah is not permissible, while the followers of the four recognized schools of Islamic Fiqh believe that a non-Arabic Khutbah is not permissible.

Therefore, to resolve the issue of the language of Khutbah we will have to examine whether the Khutbah of Friday is a form of worship or it is an ordinary lecture meant only to educate people.
It is established by authentic resources that the Khutbah of Friday is a part of the prayer and stands for two Rak'at (unit) of prayer.
The second misconception with regard to the position of Imam Abu Hanifah in the issue of Khutbah is that some people have misinterpreted his view to say that a non-Arabic Khutbah is quite permissible according to Imam Abu Hanifah.

The Khutbah is the main talk and speech of Friday and its importance should not be minimized.
Those who insist that the Khutbah should be only in Arabic say that the Khutbah is part of Salat and in Salat we follow the Sunnah of the Prophet -peace be upon him.

The Position of the Friday Khutbah in Islam
The Khutbah is a act of pure Dhikr and Dhikr has to be in the Arabic language just as Tilaawat and Salaah and the athaan have to be in Arabic.
Those who advocate that the Jumu'ah Khutbah be in English or some other language, mislead people by their argument that the Shaafi' Madhdhab permits the Khutbah to be recited in a language other than Arabic.
Basically the Friday Khutbah is a form of Dhikrullah and it is absolutely necessary for the 'Ibaadah of Dhikr to be executed in the language of the Qur'an.

For the sake of exhaustiveness and precaution, you should ensure that the khutbah is valid according to all schools of thought.
In addition, at least one of the khutbahs should contain a verse of the Qur'an which conveys some message to people, and the end of the second khutbah should include du`a for Muslim men and women relating to their needs of the Hereafter.

Islam Question and Answer - Ruling on doing tawaaf during the Friday khutbah
The scholars differed concerning the ruling on doing tawaaf during the Friday khutbah, whether that is an obligatory tawaaf such as tawaaf al-ifaadah, the farewell tawaaf and the tawaaf of ‘umrah, or it is mustahabb.
The Shaafa’is are of the view that it is permissible to do tawaaf during the Friday khutbah, and they rejected the analogy with prayer, because tawaaf does not prevent one from listening to the khutbah, unlike prayer which is a greater distraction.
With regard to the Eid khutbah, there is nothing wrong with doing tawaaf during this khutbah, because it is sunnah, and the worshippers are not obliged to stay until it ends.

 FRIDAY KHUTBAS
Another distinctive feature of the Friday Khutbah, is that it assembles all ages of the community; males, females and children, just as it assembles all classes of the society; whether they are educated people, tradesmen, or laymen; whether they are rich, middle class, or poor; whether they are government employed or ordinary citizens.
Unfortunately, the Friday Khutbah as a source of Islamic media, secondary to its obligatory act of worship, is being neglected by Muslims; it does not receive the deserved considerations nor it is being optimally utilised.
The Friday Khutbah is being viewed as a routine habit that must be performed and its effectiveness on the tens of millions is at a minimum; otherwise if the effect of Friday Khutbah on the souls of Muslims is substantial, we would not have perceived the situation of Muslims today.

Indeed, the only evidence for those who said khutbah should always be in Arabic, is that the Prophet (s.'a.s.) used to deliver his khutbah in the Arabic language.
