Chrono Cross is either deeply fulfilling or hugely disappointing, depending on what you're expecting.
The only thing that Chrono Cross really has in common with Chrono Trigger is that it's a phenomenal game with the word "Chrono" in its title.
The biggest problem with Chrono Cross is that there are simply too many characters (over 40 in all).

Chrono Cross features 40+ playable characters ranging from those who have a decent development (Serge, Kidd, Glenn, Karsh, Ridel etc.) to the characters who are just damn cool (Gyradun, Steena, Ishito, Miki etc.) to the characters who aren't worth life (Lucky Dan, Snef the Chef, Poshul etc.).
Chrono Cross is MUCH longer than CT, in fact CC is one of the longest RPGs I have ever played, coming it at 55 hours (I also did all of the sidequests).

The few CG's that they have for Chrono trigger are pathetic and random and they set it up so it has to load every section of the map.
