Charles "Kid" Nichols was one of baseball’s first successful power pitchers, firing his fastball on his way to 361 career wins, a total surpassed by just six pitchers in the history of the game.
Nichols was 2-0 with a 1.00 ERA in three starts against the Cleveland Spiders in the Championship Series.
Nichols was also a competent hitter, and hit 16 homers in his career.

Well, Cy wins most of the categories but still I think Kid comes out on top by virtue of more wins, a better winning percentage and a much lower ERA.
I was shocked while I was looking up these guys that they came up in the same year (1890) and that Nichols was actually 3 years younger than Young.
I wonder what might have happened if he had also gone to the American League.
