Known for the quality of its ice (Savvis was voted 2nd best rink in a poll of NHLers, behind only Montreal), the Savvis Center is respected as one of the louder NHL arenas.
The Kiel Center opened in 1994 to replace the Kiel Auditorium, where the college basketball team had played, which was torn down in December 1992.

Last night at Kiel Auditorium, the same music signaled the entrance of Elvis Presley from Tupelo, Miss.
To win, she had to sing a Presley song and she chose "Hound Dog." She was a little disappointed in the lack of fire in Presley's performance of the song, but loved the concert anyway.
After the concert, the scarves were on sale in the lobby of Kiel for $5 apiece.

did a 60:00 draw which sold out Kiel Auditorium (this is a real sellout, not a pro wrestling memory of every night was a sellout deal) and turned 4,000 people away.
While Brisco and Funk had wrestled in Texas before both were superstars, and in Florida when both were superstars in the territory, it was this match which led to Funk-Brisco being in demand by promoters literally all over the world and it resulted in being one of the most memorable feuds in pro wrestling history.

A special Commission in charge of the design and construction of Kiel, then known as the Municipal Auditorium, decided that bears would be more appropriate sentries to the building than the traditional lions, alluding to the bear figures in the Missouri state seal.
Cronbach, a former student of Victor Holm at Washington University, designed the limestone bear on the east side of the entrance to the new civic auditorium.
Holm carved the limestone bear on the west side of the new civic auditorium, which features a slightly uplifted head, rather than the straightforward stare seen on the bear on the east side, which is the work of Robert Cronbach, a former student of Holm's.

Who knows how many of these dates and venues are correct, but you can see that they were hungry and made it as a touring band.
The taper is way far away in a boomy auditorium, closer to the crowd than the PA at times.
Firebird is good and strong, so is Siberian, and you can hear the soundmen making adjustments in the first 3 minutes.

Louis became aware of its outmoded physical features and gave itself an extensive face lifting by means of the bond issue.
Civic inertia was attacked on many fronts resulting in new hospitals, electric street lighting for the entire City, construction of the Memorial Plaza, Kiel Auditorium and the Civil Courts building, as well as extensive street improvements.
The largest single project to be completed was the River Des Peres drainage works which eliminated an open sewer in the West End and provided for proper drainage of flood waters over the full length of the stream within the City.
