The Kigali office was fully renovated during this period.  The offices are already in use and it is anticipated that the ATDT coordinator will take up residence in Kigali, in January 2001.  The office has full email and internet connectivity for both IITA and ISAR and also has a conference area / training section.
Kigali office fully operational: To overcome the problems of communication between ISAR programs and the project partners, a project office was opened in Kigali.
This office now serves as the main center for email, fax and telephone communications.  The IITA co-coordinator is now based in Kigali, which is strategically placed for visits to all the 12 stations of ISAR.  ISAR have also shifted their liaison office to these premises.

Consequently AGLI and AVP-Rwanda had developed a proposal to hold five basic AVP workshops with the soon-to-be-released prisoners, an evaluation and then 24 more workshops in Kigali, Kigali Rurale, Ruhengeri, and Kibungo.Ê AVP-Rwanda is awaiting sufficient funding ($20,971) and Governmental approval to begin.
In our discussions, it became clear that our fifteen facilitators were not enough for even the beginning programs we envisioned.
