  Nick Woo - Kiho
Kiho is a third person platformer I worked on in collaboration with 5 other students at the Art Institute of California for a game prototyping class.
The game was created using Renderware Graphics engine, which we had to learn on our own as it was the first time EA had released the engine for educational purposes.
Overall, it was an interesting experience making this game from virtually nothing but I wish we had more information and support since online tutorials don't exist.

This kiho is a recent development, and is the result of centuries of research into the ‘sixth element’ and the anatomy of creatures of the Shadowlands.
This kiho only works with a bare hand attack, and may not be combined with other techniques or kata(though it can be a single attack of several made in a turn).
While this kiho is active, the character is more capable of resisting any effect that would give him the taint, including the natural accumulation that occurs by simply being in the Shadowlands.

The rules are optional, if you do not want Kiho powers or Monks as players or NPC’s in your game, or do not care about Rokugan religion, then there is no particular reason to by this book.
But a Kiho might be worth the bother, just to have a surprise power.
This should have been accomplished in an more simple manner, as these rules stand, they are a hindrance to actually performing a fascinating piece of roleplaying: retiring a character to become a monk.
