		The pleasant municipality of Kiikoinen is located favourably on the eastern boundary line of Satakunta Region, on the highway number 11 connecting Pori, the capital of the region, and Tampere in the neighbouring region.
		Kiikoinen lies only 50 kilometers away from Pori on the west coast of Finland, and 70 kilometers to the west of Tampere.
		Kiikoinen offers good services for groups of all ages, from pre-school children to senior citizens.

		Moreover the place-names Tanttala and Sipil\a a (the mythical King Tantalus was buried on a mountain named Sipylus) indicate that this matter doesn't only touch Homer's geography, but affects the entire world of "Greek" mythology.

		During the next decade, Canada sent emigrant agents on recruitment trips to Finland.
		It is reported from Kiikoinen that an "emigrant-runner" at the turn of the century, probably in 1902, took the region's first emigrant to Canada to work on a railroad.
		The newspapers of the day contained advertising which depicted Canada as an agricultural nation, where good arable land was offered at a supposedly cheap price.

		My mother is from the other part of Satakunta (Kiikoinen) and my father was actually born in Karelian Istmus (Muolaa), from where his family had to move out in 1939-1940, when Finland was forced to give a large part of its territory to the Soviet Union after three months hard resistance against the bolshevist aggression.
		A solid ground for my whole life has been the faith to Jesus Christ.
