Kim Ku - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kim Ku Kim Gu (August 29, 1876 – June 26, 1949), the sixth and last president of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea, was a Korean patriot who had struggled against the Japanese occupation of Korea that lasted from 1910 to 1945.
Kim Gu was exiled to Shanghai after a nationwide non-violent resistance movement that started on March 1, 1919 was violently quenched by the Japanese imperialist government.
Kim Gu is suspected of involvement in the assassination due to the fact that the assassin Han Chikun was connected to the Korean Independence party.

Duk Koo Kim - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kim was undefeated in 13 bouts when he was assigned by the WBA as the world's number 1 challenger to world Lightweight champion Ray Mancini.
Kim had to struggle mightily to lose weight on the days prior to the bout so that he could weigh in under the Lightweight's 135 pound limit, or, as they say in boxing, "make weight".
Not only did Kim lose his life after the Mancini fight, but the lives of many others who were involved were affected too: Mancini went through a period of reflection, as he blamed himself for Kim's death.

Sun Myung Moon, The Early Years, 1920-53 - Michael Breen
Kim In-ho told the author the work party heads were "robbers, rapists and murderers." This differs from the account of Pak Chong-hwa, who said most were government officials or soldiers, who, like himself, had been sentenced for dereliction of duty.
Kim Dong-ok was in a different group, where prisoners slipped out of a house, that had been requisitioned on the first night, when the guards were sleeping.
Kim's tale was, at times, such a mixture of vision and reality - characteristic of someone who spends the great part of her day in prayer - that the author has relied on Kang Hyun-shil for the basic outline of Kim's experience.

Based on the life and times of the late Kim Deuk-ku (played by Yoo Oh-Seong of "Friend" and "Beat"), a poor village boy who spent most of his teenage years hustling in the streets to make a living.
I'm certainly in no position to call Kim Deuk-ku's story uninteresting, but with the way it's portrayed in the film, it certainly was.
I hate to admit this, but the love story between Kim Deuk-ku and Lee Kyung-mi (Chae Min-Seo) seemed to be the most gratifying as far as cinematic entertainment.

Indeed, let’s assume for a minute that Kim Il Sung was killed some time in the late 1930s, soon after his daring 1937 Poch’onbo raid which became the height of his freedom-fighting career.
Kim Il Sung was, beyond doubt, the most prominent ethnic Korean guerilla commander in Manchuria in the late 1930s, but there were commanders of equal eminence before him, and in even in the late 1930s, outside Manchuria, there were Korean fighters who enjoyed a greater popularity (like Mu Jong).
Nationalists want to see in Kim Ku a person who could overcome the divisions of Korea, even if it is clear from the de-classified Soviet documents that Kim Ku’s now famous trip to Pyongyang was approved and arranged by the Soviet supervisors of North Korea.

Kim warned the envoy faces being called in “for a talk” by the Foreign Ministry, “or, in the worst case, we can ask the U.S. government to recall him.” He said given the character of relations with the U.S., “the Korean government is likely to be submissive on this issue.
