	Burger King - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		The "Burger King" was a bearded king who ruled the Burger King Kingdom; other characters included "The Duke of Doubt" (his arch nemesis), "Burger Thing" (a large burger puppet), "Sir Shakes-A-Lot" (a knight with a craving for Burger King milkshakes), and the "Wizard of Fries" (a robot powered by french fries).
		While Burger King's logo has since changed to the "blue swirl" design, the Hungry Jack's logo is still (as of 2005) based on the previous Burger King logo, employing the simpler bun-and-filling motif.
		The famous Burger King "Bun Halves" logo made its debut in 1969 and endured, with a graphical tightening in 1994, until it was replaced in 1999 (however, most restaurants did not acquire signs with the new logo until 2001).

		The King Iron Bridge & Manufacturing Co. was organized under that name in Cleveland in 1871 by Zenas King, who had started his career in building bridges in 1858.
		King came to Cleveland from Cincinnati around 1861, and by 1865 had established his works on Wason (East 38th St.) between St. Clair and Hamilton Avenue.
		The Company built bridges in Cleveland that include the Central Viaduct in 1888; the Center Street swing bridge in 1901, Cleveland's last remaining swing bridge; and the 591 ft. steel arch of the Detroit-Superior (Veteran's Memorial) bridge in 1918.

		From the late 1880s to the time the company went out of business in the early 1920s, railroads all over North America were among the company’s important clients, even though advertising for King bridges did not appear in the railroad publications of the day as it did for the company’s major competitors.
		From the day he founded the company in 1858, Zenas King nurtured a close relationship with the local railroad operators because their facilities were needed to ship the bridge components manufactured in the Cleveland factory to construction sites all over North America.
		Zenas King had also recruited a influential railroad executive, Daniel P. Eells, to serve on the company’s first Board of Directors and his tenure was the longest lasting on the board with the exception of King family members.

	Heisey Glass from the Glass Encyclopedia
		Heisey Glass was established in Newark, Ohio, in 1895 and the company, A. H Heisey and Co., opened their newly-built glass factory in 1896.
		They produced suites of tableware around the turn of the century, the EAPG era, and then went on to be one of the prolific producers of glass tableware during the the Depression Era (the 1920's and 1930's).
		However, collectors need to be aware that many of the Heisey molds were bought by the Imperial Glass Company in 1958, who continued to produce some of the Heisey patterns until they in turn closed down in 1984.
