Caspian was born in 2290, Narnian time, just before the events of Prince Caspian, and died in 2356, at the end of The Silver Chair.
Caspian is revived in Aslan's country and helps Eustace and Jill deal with the gang of bullies at their school.

Were it not for the introduction of Caspian, one of the major characters in the series, it would almost certainly be the least memorable of the seven books.
Take note, because "Prince Caspian" is part of the core Narnia books (those involving the four original children and the characters linked directly to them) it's hard to recommend skipping this one - but it really fails to live up to the fantastic spectacle of the others.
