King Rama VI : A.D. King Rama VI was the son of King Rama V and Queen Saowabha.
In 1917, King Rama VI changed the national flag from one with a red background and the symbol of a white elephant in the middle to the Tri-Rong one consisting of five horizontal bands, red, white, dark blue, white and red.
King Vajiravudh was on the throne for 15 years and passed away on 25 November 1925 at the age of 45, without a male heir.

King Rama VII : A.D. King Prajadhipok came to throne on 25 November 1925, he was the youngest son of King Chulalongkorn (King Rama V) and Queen Saowabha.
In 1915, Prince Prajadhipok returned to Thailand and King Rama VI appointed him as an army officer to assist Prince Chakrabongse, the chief of general staff of the Thai army and later he was promoted to a lieutenant colonel of the Royal Thai army.

King Vajiravudh's coronation in Bangkok on December 2, 1911 was an occasion of much splendor.
In 1916 King Vajiravudh declared war on Germany and Thai troops fought with the Allies during the latter part of World War I. He died in Bangkok on November 26, 1925 at the early age of 44.

Phra Mongkut Klao Chaoyuhua King Rama VI was kind enough to establish Vajiravudh College in the 29th of December 1910 for this school to become an institution giving out Thai citizens education, also as reign monastery.
Normally, a Thai King would build a temple as his reign monastery, but because of there were already lots of temple at that time, Phra Mongkut Klao Chaoyuhua King Rama VI built a school instead.
The expanding of this school was stopped by the death of Phra Mongkut Klao Chaoyuhua King Rama VI on 25th of November 1925.

King Rama VI was educated in England at Oxford University and his great love of literature and poetry in both Thai and English together with his scholastic abilities was later to manifest itself during his reign.
