King Street (Toronto) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
King Street is a major east-west commercial thoroughfare in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The street was named for King George III, the reigning British monarch at the time when the street was being built in early Toronto (then called the Town of York).
King Street is also served along its entire length by the Toronto Transit Commission's 504 King streetcar, the busiest line in the fleet with an average of 50,000 passengers per day.

One King Street West, Toronto - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
One King Street West or 1 King West is a hotel-condo project in the heart of Toronto's financial district.
The tower is built on an existing building, the Dominion Bank Building (Toronto) (180m) built in 1914.
From a distance, and among the other towering skyscrapers that rise like mountaintops in the horizons, this "slenderest condominium,", indeed, this free-standing dwellling place for some fortunate and weary souls, had the good timing to be located deeply within the heart of the CBD - otherwise known as the Central Business District.

Toronto car hire / Toronto car rental from 37 CAD per day all inclusive
The Toronto Dominion Bank boasts the eclectic Gallery of Inuit Art, and the mock-Gothic extravagances of Casa Loma, the Victorian gentility of Spadina House and the replica of Fort York, the colonial settlement where Toronto began, all vie for the visitor's attention.
Toronto's downtown core is sandwiched between Front Street to the south, Bloor to the north, Spadina to the west and Jarvis to the east.
Note, therefore, that 1000 Queen Street W is a long way from 1000 Queen Street E. To appreciate the transition between the different downtown neighborhoods, it's best to walk around the centre - Front to Bloor is about 2km, Spadina to Jarvis 1km.

Transit Toronto - Content: Route 504 - The King streetcar
On September 21, 1891, the King, Lee Avenue and Woodbine streetcars were combined to produce a new King route that ran from King and Dufferin, via King and Queen to Woodbine Avenue.
With these numbers, the need for streetcar service on King is hardly in doubt; however, the line is so heavily used, and traffic on King Street is so congested, that the TTC and its riders are growing very concerned about the reliability of service.
King Street will choke on its success unless steps are taken to increase its capacity.
