Topic: King of Gwynedd

Kingdom of Gwynedd - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Gwynedd covered part of the territory of the Ordovices, but tradition traced the kingdom's foundation to Cunedda, who migrated with his sons and followers from what is now southern Scotland.
Among the more powerful of the early kings of Gwynedd were Cadwallon ap Cadfan who invaded Northumbria and briefly controlled it, and Rhodri the Great (844 - 878) who was able to add Powys and part of southern Wales to his realm, becoming the first ruler to control the greater part of Wales.
On his death in 1240, the rule of Gwynedd passed to his son Dafydd ap Llywelyn, but Dafydd died without an heir in 1246 and the kingdom was split between the sons of another son of Llywelyn the Great, Gruffydd ap Llywelyn Fawr.

King Arthur - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A bronze Arthur in plate armour with visor raised and with jousting shield is one of the chivalrous mourners at the tomb of Emperor Maximilian I (died 1519), in Innsbruck
King Arthur is an important figure in the mythology of Great Britain, where he appears as the ideal of kingship both in war and peace.
Gervase states that Arthur and his knights regularly hunt along an ancient trackway between Cadbury Castle and Glastonbury (which is still known as King Arthur's Causeway [3]), and that he with his company of riders may be seen by moonlight in the forests of Britain or Brittany or Savoy.

Cadwallon ap Cadfan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The son and successor of Cadfan ap Iago, he is best remembered for devastating Northumbria and defeating and killing its king, Edwin, prior to his own death in battle against Oswald of Bernicia.
According to Geoffrey of Monmouth's History of the Kings of Britain (which includes a fairly extensive account of Cadwallon's life but is largely legendary—for example, Geoffrey has Cadwallon surviving until after the Battle of the Winwaed in 654 or 655), Cadwallon went to Ireland and then to the island of Guernsey.
The new king of Bernicia, Eanfrith, was also killed by Cadwallon when the former went to him in an attempt to negotiate peace.

The 11th Hour Web Magazine - Book Review - King Kelson's Bride
Title aside, she's something of a nonentity throughout the novel, which is actually more concerned with Kelson's attempts to put the rightful king of former enemy state Torenth on his throne.
The book picks up considerably during the coronation of the Torenthi king, which is full of strange magic, not to mention real suspense.
Somewhere, buried in the midst of King Kelson's Bride, is a real corker of a novel (or, more accurately, probably two or three novels).
