The Guild Companion: Review: Kingdoms of Kalamar
Kingdoms of Kalamar is an officially licensed campaign setting for Dungeons and Dragons 3E, and is produced by Kenzer and Company, who are perhaps best known for their Knights of the Dinner Table series.
Kingdoms of Kalamar is designed as a low-fantasy world where fantasy is present but not as prevalent and as in-your-face as most other campaign settings.
Kingdoms of Kalamar began its life in 1994 when it was published as a generic game world, and the campaign setting still holds to this as it contains few incursions of rules.

Perils of Pekal is actually an introductory package of three short adventures meant to introduce new players to the world of Kalamar and the Living Kingdoms of Kalamar RPGA campaign which is further detailed in the Pekal Gazeteer product.
I can see that the authors/editors wanted to leave the DM flexibility to mix and match the adventures into their own campaigns, but I think the package could have been improved with some tighter plotting connecting the material.

Strength and Honor: The Mighty Hobgoblins of Tellene Review -- September 9, 2003 | d20 Magazine Rack
Strength and Honor: The Mighty Hobgoblins of Tellene is a 158-page Kingdoms of Kalamar ™ race supplement written by Noah Kolman and Don Morgan and published by Kenzer and Company.
In addition to detailing the two primary virtues of the hobgoblins race (strength and honor - how'd you guess?) and describing the rise of hobgoblin kingdoms and their relations with other races, there are five distinct, fully detailed hobgoblin cultures, as well as hobgoblin-specific game mechanics.
Specific relations with other races - human and otherwise - are described as well, which is important in Kalamar, where it is not unusual for hobgoblins to be seen peacefully conducting business in the streets of certain human cities.
