Kinghorn is located about 400 ft from the shore - right in front of Rockport boat dock.
It is in about 90 ft of water and is a fair swim from shore and is not recommended to anyone in a single tank due to gas requirements.
Due to its proximity to shore, and Canadian customs office, Kinghorn is a popular second dive for those doing boat charters.

Kinghorn received an M.D. from the Faculty of Medicine of McGill University in 1894.
In 1913, Kinghorn became Attending Physician at the Prescott Hospital in Saranac Lake, N.Y.; he was also on the staff of the Saranac Lake General Hospital and Director of the Saranac Lake Tuberculosis Society.
Provenance The Hugh M. Kinghorn Papers were donated to the Historical Collections of the Library of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia from an unknown source, circa 1985.

Still the source of much debate, some no longer believe it is really the Kinghorn and the leading contender for the true identity is the "Edith Surwell".
Well, at least it was until someone suggested the Surwell (or Cirtwell) was a fishing tug that has yet to be found, and that this particular wreck is the Sophia (which actually lies not far away).
Due to the sources who say it is the Kinghorn (namely wreck guru Rick Neilson), my money is on the Kinghorn.
