The very first Daredevil comic I ever read was Daredevil Volume 1, #164, in which a reporter confronts Daredevil with the knowledge of his secret identity.
One genuine problem (the Kingpin's personality) and a couple of complaints that are kind of stretching it (Ben Urich's motives will probably be revealed) (the art is too good?!) popped up for me here.
Kirkman kind of reminds me of myself (and a lot of you, I'm sure...): a kid reared on comics who dreamed of a career in the comics world, creating dozens of original characters through his youth.

MCD did a mediocre job at best, i expected more from the kingpin in the DD movie, however, i didn't think it was essential to have kingpin as a flman in the spidey cartoon.
I mean i dont mind MCD as kingpin in DD its just that with millions of comics around and with kingpin out with his own comic its a bit surreal having one character portrayed as 2 different colours, one fl and one white.
It is possible that Kingpin is Mulatto, because they've never shown his parents as far as I know.

It's clearly the past, but by not putting a specific year on it, it can sell as Kingpin's rise in the late 40's just as well as his rise in the early 60's.
It'll be hard to paint Spidey that way, but Bruce Jones proves he's up to the task by getting the Kingpin's character down pat without reducing him to some mob stereotype.
