After the war, Kintetsu branched out and became one of the world's largest travel agencies, opening offices in the United States of America and other countries.
Kintetsu began life in 1914 as the Osaka Electric Tramway Company, operating a line between Osaka and Nara (now the Kintetsu Nara Line).

 NARA
From Kyoto station, both the JR Nara Line and the private Kintetsu Kyoto line will get you to Nara quickly.
Kintetsu is slightly cheaper and Kintetsu Nara station is better located that JR Nara, but travellers may have to change at Yamato Saidaiji for the last hop into town.
The 100 shuttle bus provides a cheap and cheerful service from the Kintetsu train station to many points of interest in central Nara.

Kyoto is just 16 mins by bullet train from JR Shin-Osaka station, or 30 mins by shinkaisoku express train from JR Osaka station, where platforms for Kyoto are clearly marked in English.

From Nankai Namba Station, you can take a subway or taxi to other parts of the city.
