Tennoji (天王寺区; -ku) is a ward of the city of Osaka in Osaka Prefecture, Japan.
Tennoji Station is the city's main southeastern rail terminal, and is the terminus of the Hanwa Line and the Kintetsu Minami-Osaka Line.

Kintetsu began life in 1914 as the Osaka Electric Tramway Company, operating a line between Osaka and Nara (now the Kintetsu Nara Line).
The modern Kashihara, Osaka, and Shigi lines were completed in the 1920's, followed by the Kyoto Line (a cooperative venture with the Keihan Electric Railway).
Most of the network's smaller lines were merged into Kintetsu during World War II, and maintained after the end of the war.

When you start talking about sumo, you begin to lose the dividing line between myth and facts but generally Nara is considered to be the birth place of sumo as described in one of the oldest "historical" books ever found in Japan, "Nihon Shoki".
Taima's resting place can be still found in Taima Temple under "Five Ring Tower", about 1 km from Kintetsu Minami Osaka line Taima Station.
For some reason Nomi's resting place is not reverred at some shrine but in the middle of fields between Yamato Asakura Station and Hasedera Station on Kintetsu Osaka line.
