  Parklea Correctional Centre
The Centre was built as a maximum security institution for 220 inmates as a result of a recommendation of the Royal Commission into NSW Prisons (1976-8).
In 1996, Parklea Periodic Detention Centre was opened external to the perimeter walls of the main centre for 80 weekend periodic detainees.
In 2005 Parklea Periodic Detention Centre was closed and periodic detainees were relocated to the Metropolitan Periodic Detention Centre in the Parramatta Correctional Complex.

 Kirkconnell Correctional Centre
Kirkconnell Correctional Centre is a minimum security institution for males located 180km west of Sydney, 3km off the Great Western Highway in the Sunny Corner State Forest, 28km west of Lithgow and 30km east of Bathurst.
The Centre is situated approximately 2km on left hand side of road and is well signposted directing visitors to the visits centre.
Kirkconnell inmates also carry out all outside ground maintenance at the maximum security Lithgow Correctional Centre.
