Various Artists - Happy Ever After - The Best Of Kitchenware Records
The Kitchenware Records sound could certainly never be accused of much in the way of originality but it can lay claim to some fine songwriters of the past 15 years or so.
However, Martin Stephenson's 'Crocodile Cryer' and Fatima Mansions' 'Behind The Moon' display fine songwriting and the requisite plainitive vocals whereas the future of Kitchenware lies with Hug's grunge-lite and the exotically-named Geoff Smith who offer a couple of interesting efforts but little to suggest that they can provide anything original.
It would be churlish to say that the rest of the CD fades away in comparison but it has to be said that the Kane Gang's three contributions do sound rather pleasant but unambitious, with their brand of pop-soul giving the impression that they are related to Savage Garden.

Potomac News Online Local dig uncovers tavern
Since the exact location of the tavern wasn':t known, test holes were dug to try to find concentrations of small artifacts like chipped pieces of kitchenware and animal bones.
While there are few records remaining about the tavern, which experienced its heyday in the early 19th Century, archaeologists will eventually piece the clues together to learn how the tavern looked.
It had been known that a tavern had been somewhere near the old courthouse, which created most of the tavern':s business and was an anchor for the small town around it.
