Ralph Phillip Klein MLA (born November 1, 1942), leader of the Alberta Progressive Conservatives, is current premier of the Canadian province of Alberta.
Klein made national headlines again as environment minister when he made an offensive gesture to an environmental activist who was protesting the government's decision to allow a dam to be constructed on the Oldman River.
Klein was reelected for a fourth term on November 22, 2004 with a reduced majority, as he only won 47% of the vote, and was victorious in only 62 out of the 83 ridings.
