Bonaire also has some special reef features, including two examples of spur and groove formations, where the corals form fingers which protrude perpendicular to the shore.
Bonaire's reef forms also include buttress formations, where corals have grown out to sea, forming a kind of headland with sandy valleys in between; a very well developed double reef in the south; and several small wall dives.

Bonaire, the least developed of the Dutch ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao) is a flat, dry, desert-like paradise.
Bonaire is about 35 miles northeast of Venezuela and offers some diversity from other Caribbean Islands thanks to the Dutch influence.
Bonaire is on my repeat trip list, hopefully before the end of 1997 and I will return to Captain Don's for the "Dive Freedom" and generous selection of dive boats and schedules.
