Commanded by General Martok of the Klingon Defense Force circa stardate 49011 in 2372, the Negh'Var was the flagship for Chancellor Gowron during the Klingon invasion of the Cardassian Union.
The Raptor class of Klingon scoutship was in use during the 22nd century.

For all we know, a single Klingon disruptor mount could be must more powerful than a starship phaser bank, and/or they might be able to fire all eight at once at full power.
Then again, both Federation and Klingon starships seem to have their beam weapons installed as an afterthought of sorts.
A Klingon ship would be just as deadly with a single disruptor as with twenty - although at least three would be nice for coverage and for redundancy in case of damage.
