In 1133, the Babenburg prince summoned the Augustinian canons to Klosterneuburg, who turned the Abbey into a centre of religious life, culture and science over the centuries that followed.
To this day, the Augustinians live and work here in his spirit and according to the rules of the order as laid down by St. Augustine.
