	Knightmare - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Knightmare was an innovative and popular UK television programme for children, produced by Anglia Television and aired on ITV from 7 September 1987 to 11 November 1994.
		Knightmare was conceived by Tim Child in 1985, inspired by the two ZX Spectrum games Atic Atac and Dragontorc.
		Knightmare's only appearances on television after that were as clips in "40 Years of Anglia" in 1999, and Channel 4's 100 Greatest Kids' TV shows in 2001, where it came 16th, the highest position on the list for a game show.

		In Combining Knightmare Chess the capture of a piece other than a Pawn or a King by a piece other than a Pawn or King results in a Knightmare piece that belongs to both sides, and can be moved by either.
		So a Knightmare piece consisting of a White Knight and a Black Rook would be moved by White as a Knight, and by Black as a Rook.
		Knightmare pieces are indicated by two letters, where the letters are in order of rank, rank order being Q - R - B - N. Thus, a Queen-Knight Knightmare piece is always QN, regardless of who owns which part.
