Ko Pha Ngan (or Koh Phangan, Thai: เกาะพะงัน) is an island in the Gulf of Thailand in South East Thailand.
Ko Pha Ngan has two sister islands: Ko Samui in the South and Ko Tao in the North.
Some historians and archaeologists believe that the first group who migrated to Ko Pha Ngan were the Muslim sea gypsies (Pigmy, Semung, and Proto-Malay) who travelled by boat from the Malay Peninsula.

Ko Tao is less developed than Ko Samui and Ko Pha Ngan, but has become increasingly popular especially with the mid-20's backpacker crowd in search of relatively inexpensive scuba diving certification.
With few execptions, almost all roads on Ko Tao are dirt roads and generally are in poor shape.
Ko Tao is serviced by ferry services from Surat Thani (4 to 9 hours) (only night boats), Chumphon (1.5 to 3 hours), Ko Samui (4 hours) and Ko Pha Ngan (2.5 hours).

I met them first when I went to Ko Samui and now they also where on their way back to Bangkok.
I don’t want to judge people for the way the dress and I don’t know what those guys do with the Thai woman in their home countries, but I think its not just conversation, and I feel very bad about what’s going on in Thailand and probably other places on this planet.

I went to Ko Pha Ngan last year and stayed at Haad Rin and totally liked it, but this time I also want to see a bit more of the island.
Hi, was in Ko pangnan back in November, stayed in Seethanu, north west of the island.
Great for snorkelling (allegedly, though it rained the whole time for me)but is a beautiful area, quiet but has the pirate's bar which does the fl moon party.

I wanted to go straight to Ko Phi Phi, so I got my ticket for the ferry and was supposed to be at the pier at 2:30 p.m.
Unfortunately their was no ferry to Ko Phi Phi at 2:30...
Since the weather down here is in a horrible condition, I’m going to leave this place tomorrow, to go to Malaysia, or to Ko Phi Phi...

After Ko Pha Ngan i think we are gonna go over to Ko Samui for a few days then Ko Tao for a few before heading up to Bangkok...
