 Just Another Far-Fetched How-It-Could-Have-Been
Hutchinson, of course, isn't arguing for any two-Amrams or two-Uzziels theory; he is arguing that Amram was simply a symbol of a generation but not literally the "immediate" son of Kohath and that Aaron was also just a symbol of the fourth generation but not literally the "immediate" son of Amram.
Hutchinson to reconcile his theory that Levi, Kohath, Amram, and Aaron were merely symbols or representatives of generations with the fact that Leviticus 10:4 was clearly intended to mean that Uzziel was Aaron's uncle, so Mr.
With that in mind, let's notice that the author of Levi's testament obviously thought that Levi was Kohath's literal father, that Kohath was Amram's literal father, and that Jochebed was Levi's literal daughter, who had been born to him after the Israelite descent into Egypt.

Catholic Apologetics International - Robert Sungenis
The calendar would be kept intact by obtaining the new calendar marker after Levi, Kohath, by selecting him from among the men who were born in the year that Levi died.
For these reasons, it is almost certain that Kohath, Amram and Aaron were not the son, grandson and great-grandson of Levi, but his descendants.
It is a confirmation of the basis that we saw in Exodus 6:14-16 for the 430 years and the 8600 descendants of Kohath, and the basis why few of the pre-Flood genealogical heads are named by their predecessor, except for Seth, Enosh and Noah.

The testimony that Slater refers to is taken from the pseudepigraphic work *Testimony of the Twelve Patriarchs,* which I quoted in one of my responses to Hutchinson.
Levi's testimony was that he was 35 years old when Kohath was born and 48 years old when he entered Egypt.
Incidently, since Jochebed was born sixteen years after Levi et al entered Egypt, and she was 30 when she married Amram, and giving a year for her first child to be born, and Aaron was 83 when they left Egypt, simple addition of 16 + 30 + 1 + 83 = 130.

At first reading, it appears that Levi was the great-grandfather, Kohath the grandfather, Amram the father, and Moses and Aaron the sons.
If this is a calendar giving the names of the reference patriarchs or generations, we would expect that Kohath was a descendant of Levi and was born the year of Levi's death; and that Amram was a descendant of Kohath, and that he was born the year of Kohath's death.
