KOMU-TV (Channel 8) is the NBC affiliate serving the cities of Columbia and Jefferson City, Missouri along with several surrounding counties in central Missouri.
The station is owned by the University of Missouri-Columbia, officially licensed to the "Curators of the University of Missouri" and operated by the university's world-renowned Missouri School of Journalism, making KOMU one of very few commercial TV stations in the US to be owned by a major university.
In September 2006 a KOMU digital subchannel began to serve as the new affiliate of The CW Television Network.

Many I speak to who watch KOMU and do not live in or close to Columbia feel that the reports you make are not necessarily from a neutral viewpoint.
KOMU does a very good job covering the entire central missouri area, in fact, I think your station does a better job covering the Jefferson City, Eldon and lake area than the Jefferson City station.

Komu Vnyz is considered the single band on the territory of Ukraine and Eastern Europe that plays extraordinary authentic blend of gothic and industrial combined with the lyrics of the ancient Ukrainian legends.
