Nowadays the hospital building houses the Department of the History of Medicine (for Kopernik was also a medical doctor), and medicinal herbs grow in the botanical garden (the herbarium) at the back.
There are two copies of Kopernik's most famous work, "De revolutionibus..." from 1566 and 1617, other old prints, sixteenth through nineteenth century engravings, as well as post stamps related to astronomy and medicine.
The Museum preserves eighteenth and nineteenth century astronomical instruments and copies of devices used by Kopernik himself, all medals ever made in honour of Kopernik, apothecary ampoules, bottles, jars, mortars and wooden containers, some of which date from the sixteenth to the eighteenth century.

Kopernik's most famous written work, De Revolutionibus, which laid the foundation for modern astronomy, was completed in 1530, after fifteen years of painstaking observations and calculations, often with instruments of the astronomer's own making.

VESTAL, NY, Jun 2, 1999--The staff of Kopernik Observatory and ham radio volunteers will celebrate the observatory's 25th anniversary June 5 with a special event that also will honor the memory of one of the observatory's founders, Kaz Deskur, K2ZRO, who died in 1984.
The Kopernik Observatory is establishing a special "Wall of Honor for Amateur Radio Satellites" to honor Kaz Deskur.

For now the meeting between Kopernik and the Roberson museum has only resulted in another meeting among Roberson Board members to investigate the separation.
The next meeting with the Kopernik Task Force and the Roberson Museum is scheduled for next week.

I've been going there every summer since 2002, and it's just amazing, so far away from everything else, with people I'll never forget, and just the beautiful night sky lit up by billions of stars.
