Korean TV dramas, like Winter Sonata, have already been dubbed in China, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam and adapted in countries like Ghana, Uzbekistan and Mongolia among other countries and producers Korean Broadcasting System is already beginning to eye other Asian and western markets.
The Korean cultural fever hasn't yet hit the Indian market, but a contingent of Korean independent production houses and the three broadcast terrestrial stations that make up Korean TV will be visiting India in May to make the initial presentations.
Yearly exports of Korean TV programmes are maintaining an increase of 40 per cent every year, with the drama genre constituting 91.8 per cent of total exports in 2004, followed by animation that had a share of 4.6 per cent.

 Korean Heritage Library Receives Video Bonanza
The Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) has agreed to donate a collection of videos, covering a broad range of Korean cultural and historical topics, to the USC Korean Heritage Library.
Its particular strengths are in Korean newspapers, immigration history, Korean cinema, journalism and mass media, and local materials of the Cholla-do region.
Among the donated videos, which will arrive at the library over the next few years, are a documentary about the Korean automobile industry; programs about the Korean independence movement against the Japanese, including the stirring March 1, 1919, demonstrations; a study of traditional Korean agricultural implements; and a series of historical dramas.

 Record: Park receives award for neurosurgery procedure
T.S. Park, M.D., the Shi H. Hung Professor of Neurosurgery and neurosurgeon in chief at St. Louis Children's Hospital, recently received the Korean Overseas Compatriots Award from the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) at a ceremony in Seoul.
KBS — the leading broadcast network in Korea — produced a documentary of Park's work at the Medical Campus, which aired several times on the network, reaching nearly 10 million Koreans.
The Korean news agency also recognized Park for his 22 years of continuous NIH funding for his lab studies of cerebral microvascular physiology and his receiving of a Javits Neuroscience Investigator Award.

I have served as a voice over artist at KBS (Korean Broadcasting System) for 15 years and earned a BA degree in Media & Theater Art with Motion Picture & Video option at Montana State University.
It is very hard to find professional Korean voice actors in the United States, particularly in Los Angeles area.
If you are not a Korean, you could not judge whether those untrained actors are good at voice over or not.

On 6 March, the US military in Iraq detained three Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) journalists for close to four hours on suspicion of carrying explosives.
The journalists were all handcuffed and held in custody based on "internal regulations", despite the fact that the Korean Embassy in Iraq had confirmed their identifications and had called for their immediate release.
