Korg Triton - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Korg Triton line may be seen as the direct descendants of the previous Korg Trinity line of workstations.
The Korg KARMA was released in 2001 with the Triton synthesis technology but without the sampling functionality.
In 2004 Korg released the Triton Extreme, which boasted many of the features of the Studio (such as the entire PCM ROM from the Studio model) plus the addition of many previous Triton expansion boards, giving it a broad range of sound.

With their new Trinity range, Korg are attempting to update the workstation concept for the 1990s.
The Trinity is also the first workstation to make full use of the latest developments in DSP and micro-computer technology.

After that, Korg emphasized other keyboards, such as the M-1, and the T-Series, which were all sophisticated sample-playback machines.
Finally Korg put sampling back into their gear - the Triton is essentially a Trinity with additional features, onboard sampling, and the ability to save samples onto disk, which makes it credible enough for us to support.
Both the Trinity and Triton store their files the same way, in DOS disk format that can be read by a computer.

Korg Trinity - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Korg Trinity V3 Korg Trinity is a comercial successful keyboard music workstation released by Korg in 1996.
Along with the Korg Prophecy, the Korg Trinity synthesizer was a descendant of the original OASYS synthesizer, an acronym for Open Architecture Synthesis System, which was a mega-synth prototype that the company previewed in 1994 but never marketed.
The main problem with the Trinity and digital linking at the time, was that Korg chose to design the synth using a 48 kHz, which is very common for post production and television work, but not the 44.1 kHz CD standard that most studios pro and consumer alike utilized.

 KORG TRITON
Korg has always been good about supplying musicians with sounds that are appropriate for today's music, yesterday's music, and tomorrow's music.
Korg's latest offering, the Triton, is perhaps the best example ever of an all-in-one workstation that covers synthesis, sampling, sequencing, and effects processing.
Like the Trinity and Z1, the Triton is housed in a plastic case that resembles brushed aluminum.

Korg has done a very good work with the touch screen, so you have istant access to all the functions of this keyboard without pushing those terrible "page up" and "page down"...
Trinity's user interface resembles many Windows' elements, like checkboxes, buttons, droplists, etc. plus graphic display of envelopes, signal FX routings, equalizers, etc. The touch sensitivity is adjustable.

Korg Trinity Vs Korg Triton LE - Jordan Rudess' Community Forums
But lots of people say the Trinity, although it has no arp, is also very aspiring...
I can also get the TR- rack (Trinity mounted version), for even less money, and maybe even keep my LE, but I sense that it's not good to have both Triton LE and a Trinity...
Then, you could buy a lot more than just a trinity and some other stuff if it really sells for that cheap wherever you are.

 KORG TRITON STUDIO
I had so much fun reviewing the Korg Triton Le for SOS in January this year that it almost had to be prised from my grasp when the time came for it to be returned.
At the moment Korg are not making it clear as to whether this difference in processor speed will preclude enhancements to the Classic Triton that would bring it closer in spec to the new Studio, but it seems likely, which is a shame.
When Korg's internal drive arrived, fitting it took about 30 seconds, after which I had a complete and integrated means to produce finished CDs — and with no computer in sight.

Knowing the Oasys PCI card and the first Oasys keyboard project (the prototype was made but it never really went out to the market), I was positive that this will be a huge step forward for all of us, Korg and Korg's future.
Like I said before, the things that I missed in the whole Triton generation were those pads and electric pianos the Trinity had - very warm, lush, everything from pretty hard to very soft, but just - pads.
I also heard some of the things Korg has "in the works" for Oasys, but since I made a promise (yeah, yet again), I'll keep my mouth shut for the time being.

The programmers at Pyramid have done a splendid job of exploring the VAST programming architecture of the Kurzweil sound engine, and besides classics from the various Korg synths, there are many exciting new patches that cover a wide musical palette.
The CD ROM is packed with a generous 600 MB of data, consisting of 120 volumes of stereo, multisampled sounds, and over 400 really well designed programs, packaged in a standard jewel case with easy to understand liner notes.
Having previously owned three of the instruments represented here, an M1, a Wavestation, and a M3R, which I loved, the samples of these instruments and new programming taking advantage of the VAST architecture, far surpasses that of their hardware counterparts.
