The 2005 Kosi Bay season was shorter than in previous years and comprised four weeks at the mouth and three weeks at the lakes.
Personally, Kosi will always be that very special place where the conditions test your skills, stamina, and will to succeed to the very limit.

I'm calling you from Monjo along the Dudh Kosi river at the base of that infamous Namche hill.
Normally I have to kind of hang out at Lukla to get things going, but it was just so nice we walked down to the Dudh Kosi river and got to Phakding where we spent the night; we got down there by lunch actually.
It is great to be out here in the Khumbu that first night sleep always goes really well, with the Dudh Kosi river singing in the background, very peaceful, soothing sounds.
