The Kovilj Monastery (Serbian: Манастир Ковиљ / Manastir Kovilj) is a Serb Orthodox monastery in the Bačka region, in the northern Serbian province of Vojvodina.
It is near the village of Kovilj, in the Novi Sad municipality.
According to the legend, the monastery of Kovilj was founded by the first Serb archbishop, Saint Sava, in the 13th century.

They were in the range of 0.04-0.22 for Futog, 0.03-0.74 for Strand, 0.03-0.41 for “Sever IV”, 0.04-0.50 for Kovilj marsh, and 0.05-0.17 for the sediment sample from the DTD canal.
On the location DTD canal-Kac bridge higher values in comparison with those measured for the Danube sediment in Hungary were found for nickel, chromium and lead in quarters I, II, and III, for zinc and copper in quarters II and IV and for cadmium in all for quarters.

Beška Bridge (Most kod Beške), built in 1975, situated between villages Kovilj (in Novi Sad municipality) and Beška (in Inđija municipality).
Vidovdan Bridge (Vidovdanski most), it is also in urban part of the city, and it also connects neighborhoods Klisa, Vidovdansko Naselje and Slana Bara with the city centre.

KOVILJ - the monastery with the church dedicated to Saint Archangels Michael and Gabriel is located in the village of Kovilj, east of Novi Sad.
Therefore, the influence of Medieval Morava architecture is evident on the church in Kovilj: the foundation is designed as a combination of a three-naved basilica and a triconch, with a polygonal tambour dome, while the facade made of Fruška Gora stone is decorated with rows of blind arches.

On Friday, April 20, the tenth anniversary of religious teaching as an optional subject was marked in the primary school “Laza Kostic” at Kovilj.
This primary school is among the first ones in our Fatherland which started delivering this kind of classes and which has pursued its practice till this very day.

In his address during the meeting with the U.S. students who are helping people to reconcile and overcome interethnic differences, Bishop Joanikije emphasized that there are two kinds of peace, the divine and the secular, both equally necessary for peace as a whole.
