The Kowloon Motor Bus Company (1933) Limited (KMB), a Transport International Holdings Limited company, is the largest of the three franchised bus operators in the urban area of Hong Kong, and one of the largest privately-owned public bus operators in the world.
KMB was founded on 13 April 1933 as a result of the reformation of public transport by the then-British colonial government of Hong Kong.
KMB is the sole operator of most of its routes, but some cross-harbour routes are co-operated with either Citybus or New World First Bus.

Police said the bus, operated by the Kowloon Motor Bus company, crashed through railings on the busy Tuen Mun highway in the western Kowloon area of Hong Kong's largely rural New Territories.
Police said the crash, which sent the bus plunging about 50 meters (55 yards) before landing on its side, was one of the worst on the city's relatively safe highways in at least a decade.
The bus company's managing director John Chan told reporters that the bus driver, on his first trip of the day, had died from his injuries.
