Kreis Wongrowitz was a Kreis in Prussia (county) in the northern administrative district of Bromberg, in the province of Posen.
Kreis Wongrowitz was part of the military command (German: Bezirkskommando) at Gnesen, which was the garrison of the 49th Infanterie regiment (6th Pommersches) of the 8.
The main court (German: Landgericht) was in Gnesen, also Bromberg and Schneidemühl, with smaller courts (German: Amtsgericht) in Wongrowitz (LG=Genesen), Exin (LG=Bromberg) and Margonin (LG=Schneidemühl).

Martin Klahr was the village head at Rudna village which was just south of Lukowo where Lorenz and family lived.
Martin was born in 1733 and had three wives, the third of which was Helena Remus; his parents were Johan Martin Busse (b 1699) and Anna Sonneburg.
He resided in Ostroweck by Mrotschen (then a Vorwerk of Vandsburg) where he was a gutsbesitzer (lived in an estate house), Martin and Helena's son Martin is shown on the next page in DGB as marrying Emilie Mittelstadt - they resided in Gnesen.

As for Bentschen, Kreis Bomst Posen (now Zbaszyn, powiat of Nowy Tomysl, Poland) there are three collections of church books - the 16 FHL microfilms of Lutheran records cover 1820-1874 - and three collections of civil registrations (1874-1938).
They were married by Reverand Rudolf KRUMM on 28 May 28, 1891 at Gnesen, Posen.
The earliest record I have is his marriage record in the Evangelical Church records from Mrotschen, kreis Wirsitz.
