Der Kreis Fraustadt verblieb ebenfalls beim Deutschen Reich und gehörte ab 1922 zur preußischen Provinz Grenzmark Posen-Westpreußen.
1938 kam der Kreis dann zur Provinz Schlesien (Niederschlesien).
