At gunpoint, Hitler forced von Kahr, von Seisser, and von Lossow, into a room and told them to support his march on Berlin, or they would be shot.
Around 23:00, von Danner along with his fellow officers, General Adolf von Ruith and General Baron Friedrich Kress von Kressenstein compelled von Lossow to repudiate the putsch.
The political disparity of Von Kahr and Adolf Hitler is elucidated when the editor of the staunchly royalist newspaper and speech writer for Von Kahr, Paul Egenter, questions Pöhner while locked in the beer hall: "Isn't there a basic contradiction between von Kahr's monarchistic and Hitler's republican-dictatorial aims?" Munich 1923, pg 168.

First World War.com - Who's Who - Kress von Kressenstein
Friedrich Kress von Kressenstein (1870-1948), a Bavarian born artillery-officer, formed a part of Liman von Saunders' military mission to Turkey in January 1914, and spent the majority of the war in the service of the Ottoman Empire.
It was Kressenstein who advocated and disastrously planned the wholly unsuccessful attack on the Suez Canal in January 1915 which opened hostilities on the Palestine Front, damaging Djemal's reputation rather than his own.
Replaced in command at Gaza on 5 November 1917 by former German Chief of Staff Erich Falkenhayn, Kressenstein was given command of the Turkish Eighth Army in defence of the coastal sector of the front until the summer of 1918, when he was transferred to command a German military mission in the Caucasus.

Meanwhile the Turks, under German commander Kress von Kressenstein, were mooting a fresh attack upon the canal, originally planned for the autumn but pulled forward to the summer following the collapse of Serbia and the consequent influx of German reinforcements to Turkey.
Kressenstein's intention was to occupy the canal's left bank and to thereafter use heavy artillery to impede Allied shipping.
Kressenstein's advance was itself dictated by the availability of water supplies, with all but the depots in the northern coastal area of the Sinai Desert having been earlier destroyed by the British.

This prompted the Bavarian Prime Minister von Knilling to declare a state of emergency and named Gustav von Kahr as Bavarian Commissar, Bavarian State Police head Col. Hans von Seisser, and Reichswehr General Otto von Lossow as dictators (they were called the "triumvirs") to keep order.
Influenced by Mussolini's successful March on Rome and, furthermore, when Hitler realized von Kahr sought to control him or was losing heart (history is unclear), Hitler decided to take matters into his own hands.
Hitler, along with a large detachment of SA, marched on the Bürgerbräu Keller, a Munich beer hall where von Kahr was making a speech in front of 3,000 people.
