Prasat Krol Ko is located in the northwest of Neak Pean, 100 meters from the road.
The main items of interest at Krol Ko are the pediments on the ground Two out standing ones are a bodhisattva Avalokitesvara standing on a lotus flanked by devotees and a strongly modeled scene of Krsna lifting Mount Govardhana to shelter the shepherds.
Kro Ko is a single tower monument with two enclosing walls built of laterite with an entry tower at the east and a moat with steps.

 Angkor
Preah Ko (Sacred Bull) derives its name from the statues of bulls at the front of the central towers.
Preah Ko The Roluos Group is a collection of monuments representing the remains of Hariharalaya, the first major capital of the Angkorian era Khmer Empire.
Though there was an existing settlement in the area before the rise of Angkor, Hariharalaya was established as a capital city by Jayavarman II and served as the Khmer capital for over 70 years under four successive kings.

The town of Siem Reap is our base for visiting the world famous temples of the ancient city Angkor, which was the capital of the powerful Khmer Empire from 802 AD to 1350 AD.
After checking into hotel, we drive to the archeological area to visit the Roluos Group of temples including Lo Lei, Preah Ko, Bakong.

 Legend of Angkor
Heading out of the town, we visit some outlying sights including the Preah Dark village, the intricately carved and well preserved temple of Banteay Srei, the River of 1000 Lingas, locally named Kbal Spean and the Banteay Samre Temple, with its impressive reliefs depicting scenes of Vishunu as well as Krishna legends.
