Greek "korone;" Lithuanian "kreivas;" Old Church Slavonic "kriv," "krivda;" Czech "krziw." The spelling "krzywda" is unique to the Polish language, which seems to indicate that the ancestors of today North American "Germans" bearing this name were Polish.
