More realistic then having a Kuei Jin ending anyways....
I think that's one of the sad points in the game...you aren't able to have Sabbat ending, though it would be realistic too.
Agreed, the game could use a bit more variation in the baddies, if only graphically.

 Kindred of the East explained
As former wraiths, a Kuei-jin has a splinter of the forces of Oblivion in its soul.
Finally, some Kuei-jin turn their backs on enlightenment entirely, instead swearing fealty to the Yama Kings (the rulers of Yomi) to become Akuma, the demon people.
A Kuei-jin's stint in the hells of Yomi divides the mind into two parts: The Hun, or high mind, that is the seat of rational thought, and the P'o, or demon mind, that exists to satisfy its own base urges (usually at the expense of the Hun).

Kindred of the East FAQ list
For a little more fun, you might try playing your character as if she has absolutely no knowledge of the Disciplines and abilities of the Kuei-jin (or Kindred, if your character is from the east); pretend that you don't even know what your adversaries are capable of doing.
In game terms, this means that almost all Kuei-jin characters should come from Asiatic cultures, and should be at least partially of Asiatic descent, with a modicum of belief in the supernatural and superstitions of the east.
The Bushi are actually the Kuei-jin of House Bishamon.

 Kuei-jin & Kindred
Kuei-jin are consistently presented as racists who are more enlightened than stupid gweilo Kindred, more powerful than stupid gweilo Kindred, more competent than stupid gweilo Kindred, and far more informed on stupid gweilo Kindred than the stupid gweilo Kindred are on Kuei-jin.
To quote someone else, "Kuei-jin are a Great Yellow Hive Mind" of combat monsters mindlessly intent on "killing whitey vampire." While not all the literature hews to this view, enough of it does.

RPGnet: The Inside Scoop on Gaming
While the reasons behind the hatred of the Kin-jin are explored more deeply (they are corrupted beings, and any Kuei-jin can sense the chi disruption when a Kindred spends a blood point), it is sometimes carried a bit far.
Organized by Court, the chapter does a superb job detailing both the history of the Kuei-jin and delineating each Court.
The Kindred of the East line from White Wolf is a remarkably well-done supplement to Vampire: the Masquerade, and the Kindred of the East Companion certainly does not shame the "basebook" that was published a short while ago.

I'd recommend picking a Dharma of your choice, starting it at 1, then increasing Dharma by one for every (real-world) year you've been playing your character, or six months if the Storyteller feels that the character displays exceptional enlightenment or has been very well roleplayed.

Kindred of the East Forum FAQ
This section is intended as an introduction to Kindred of the East, both in terms of the basics of what a Kindred of the East, called Kuei-jin (abbreviated KJ), is and a brief description of how the rules apply to them.
First, the Kindred of the East refer to themselves as Kuei-jin, rather than Cathayans as the Cainites label them.

Subsequent books have evened the balance, and I believe that the Kindred of the East Companion details the success that the Giovanni clan has been having, but it was a bit of a mistake to make the Kuei-Jin sound like the new baddest boys on the block.
The Kuei-jin have the same kind of political intrigues as the Kindred, so fans of political games will have much to do.

Blood and Silk is the intersection of these, a stealthy peek into the dark courts of the Wan Kuei (later known as the Kuei-jin) in the year 1197 as the European barbarians reckon such things.
The Wan Kuei themselves are closer to their origins as the fallen immortals of the Third Age, their courts and culture more structured, their place in the Middle Kingdom still one of living myth and legend.
The vampires of the East are far more dependent than the vampires of the West on the mystical atmosphere of the world and as time slips toward the modern era, their very nature changes.

Gaozong used the power of his chief counselor, Qin Gui (Ch'in Kuei, 1090-1155), to control the bureaucracy, and concluded a peace treaty with the Jin in 1141 over the objections of those military and political leaders who demanded that every effort be made to retake the north.
Then, in hopes of recovering the 16 prefectures and more from the Liao, the Song court allied itself with the Jurchens, who had founded the Jin dynasty in 1115.
In 1126 the Jin captured the imperial court and took it north.

After unifying north and south, Emperor Taizong turned to the northeastern border (in the area of what is now Beijing) and tried to recover 16 prefectures with a mainly native-Chinese population from the Khitans, a tribal confederation that had established the Liao dynasty in 907.

 RPGnet Forums - hunter-exalted connection
It was then that I finally made the connection (duh)to the "parents" of the Kuei-Jin; the Scarlet Queen and the Ebon Dragon.
I think they said that the solar exalted were the hunters, and the abyssal exalted were vampires, and the faeries were pure changlings in the offical quotes on the message boards in the WW forums, but I've heard not a peep about such things from the actual game material.
If you want to make the connection in your games, that's fine and it shouldn't be too hard to figure out how to do it, but there won't be any official support for this since the majority of the population prefers that there be NO connection.

 Dictionary of Meaning www.mauspfeil.net
The barrier preventing the Umbra from interacting on a regular basis with reality is known as the '''Gauntlet (World of Darkness) Gauntlet''', though it goes by other names as well (wraiths call it the ''Shroud'', Kindred of the East Kuei-jin call it the ''Wall'', and Technocracy (Mage: the Ascension) Technocrats call is the ''Horizon'').
Not to be confused with the Technocracy's term for the Gauntlet (World of Darkness) Gauntlet, most beings in the World of Darkness use the term '''Horizon (World of Darkness) Horizon''' to describe a nearly-impermeable barrier that separates the Near Umbra from the '''Deep Umbra'''.
Werewolf: The Apocalypse Werewolves and other shapeshifters have had the richest history of interaction with the Umbra of any terrestrial beings in the World of Darkness (due to their spiritual nature and their alliances with the forces of the spirit world), but their interactions are almost exclusively limited to the Spiritual Umbra and the Shenti.

Among the types of evidence we will consider are data from Tibeto-Burman languages and from later stages of Chinese (such as the Han and Wei-Jin periods).
There will be a short final paper summarizing the scholarship relating to a particular issue in Old Chinese phonology.
