October 5, 1993: Two Kuki villages were set on fire and at least 77 houses destroyed when Kukis in the Naga dominated area refused to pay taxes to the Naga separatists and refused to be evicted.
March 10, 1998: Kuki militants are suspected in the deaths of 8 Naga villagers in Ukhrul district, Manipur (Deutsche Presse-Agentur, 03/10/98).
