Kult - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kult drawn on the same real-world occult belief systems as some modern magick societies.
Dragon Rouge magic beliefs, in particular, are similar to the magic theory described in Kult, if one ignores the more extreme aspects of the game (such as the supernatural creatures that function as "enemies" to the players characters, or the idea that the world is an illusion).
Kult was, for some time, covered in media due to a suicide committed by a young boy who was playing the game.

 Kult Ov Azazel
The unholy birth cries of Kult ov Azazel were first heard in April of 1999, under the infernal name of Azazel.
At around the same time, Hellspawn left the fold, and the Kult took their next step into the fl metal elite: they signed a contract with Arctic Music Group, ensuring them proper distribution and a good budget with which to create their debut full length.
A mere year and a half after their inception, the Kult had given the public several releases, and established themselves in their local scene, in addition to sharing the stage with many other extreme metal acts.

Warsaw Voice - From Cottage to Kult
One of the most important and popular bands to emerge from the Polish New Wave in the early 1980s, Kult continues to be very relevant in the late `90s.
We had the cottage, though, and that was the beginning of Kult." In the early years, the band was unwilling to make professional recordings: "The first thing we had to do was take our lyrics to the censors.
Kult's first album was released in 1986, but was something of a disappointment due to primitive recording techniques.

Kult ov Azazel was formed under the name Azazel back in October of 1998 if we go back to when I first started to record as a one man project.
We think that even though there are still excellent bands over there, the ones that were once called cult bands are making an effort to create something new (not all of them of course), which in many cases gets away from the fl metal itself.
The thing is this; the European fl metal bands in ways tend to stray from what fl metal is really all about by incorporating keyboards and female vocals and trying to "beautify" the music.

Too many bands over the years have made a mockery out of this musical form and we are a band that takes this back to it's roots.
Too many bands in the States use the "necro" tag because they suck and that's all there is to it.
Choosing not listen to a band because of where they originate is the most moronic thing I have ever heard.

Kult Ov Azazel are another underground band who "support the Christian Holocaust" and as such prefer to use such titles as, ahem, "demonic screeches of pure unholiness" instead of admitting it's a vocalist.
Kult Ov Azazel have come a long way since their self-released EP Order of the Fly, which had good songs, but whose production left something to be desired (mind you it was good for a self-produced release).
Kult ov Azazel have set a new standard for fl metal bands to strive for, reaching a new pinnacle of the genre with Triumph of Fire that will be no easy feat for another band to surpass.

Overall, the songs were catchy, and the musicianship was excellent (with a minimum of pre-recorded tapes, quite a feat for an industrial band).
The band seemed uninterested and too prerehearsed, unable to blend spontaneity with their fresh, thunderous music.
At one point, the band piled on to the tiny stage a guitarist, a bassist, a drummer, three backup vocalists, a bartender (yes, band members were treated to drinks prepared by their own personal bartender during the show), and a six-foot beast with a mutilated head and one arm reaching toward the audience.

The band, which was also included Simon Raymonde (who went on to join the Cocteau Twins in 1983, replacing the original bassist), recorded three singles between 1981 and 1982.
On the road, however, the Kult has always been quite the collection of misfits and oddballs, something to make their live shows more interesting than they'd be if somebody just fired up a sequencer and started singing along.
Soon enough, it was time for the Kult to go on tour and, not wanting to be caught without their "backup singers", the guys rushed out in search of real live replacements who could sing, dance, play keyboards, model some breathtaking leather outfits, and fit into the entire Russ Meyer-esque atmosphere.
