Kumagaya, Saitama is the city next to Tokyo, as you all know Tokyo is an extremely busy city, Kumagaya is the opposite, it's a quiet town which is extremely hot in the Summer, it stayed over 35 degrees for over a month, and extremely cold during Winter which it snowed quite a lot.
Since Kumagaya is not a big town, you won't be able to find shops that you see in Tokyo, therefore I always go shopping in Tokyo.
If you are not a big shopper, 80000yen per month should be enough for living as Kumagaya's living standard is not as high as Tokyo.
