Provide Comment On National Park Plans Of Management @ ExplorOz
Hopefully sense will prevail in the future - a balance for all in use of the parks, especially with more state forests going to national parks maybe there should be a classification which is basically the same as a state forest which permits access by all, but simply excludes logging.
If you have issues with National Parks write to the Local National Park Advisory Committee (made up of community members), issues will then be discussed with the Regional Manager of the area.
I'm lucky one of my friends is a QC...he cant wait to take them on based on the legal premise that though the NPWS may have this rule in place they are not the owners of the National Park merely the custodians acting for the ratepayers of NSW...

 NEFA's Achievements.
The outcomes of the subsequent forest assessment process in NSW have been far from satisfactory (as you will read below) but large areas of National Park (35,000 ha in 1995, 162,000 ha in 1996 and 414,000 ha in 1999) have been dedicated and hopefully will remain protected for generations to come.
Because of the ongoing pressure from N.E.F.A. and other forest groups throughout Australia, in 1992 the commonwealth and state governments signed the National Forest Policy which was to resolve ongoing forest conflicts by dedicating conservation reserves and establishing ecologically sustainable management of our forests.
Through constant pressure from a grassroots level, the community has been able to gain access, and participation in the recent assessment process of forests in NSW.
