Speaking to a Korean audience on issues regarding the North-South relations with references to Germany's unification it is difficult these days not to begin with the tenth anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin War.
Coming to a conclusion: Compared to the German experience the Kumgangsan project is small regarding the quantity of exchanges and is hardly worth mentioning regarding the human contacts between North Korean and South Korean individuals.
In the context of the Korean situation I consider the Kumgangsan project - and the Light Water Reactor project - to be of very great importance indeed, yes of historic significance.
