		Kunak: About 800 people, mostly workers of an oil palm estate located about 13 kilometres from the town here, have had to do without clean water supply due to pollution at a nearby natural lake, the only source for water in their area.
		The pollution was allegedly caused by forest clearing activity, said to be going on at the Ulu Kalumpang Forest Reserve (First Class), in an area which is also the water catchment area near the lake, purportedly meant for planting oil palm.
		The alleged encroached area of the forest reserve can be easily seen from the nine-hole golf course developed by a commercial plantation company near the side of the lake.
