Kung fu or gongfu (功夫, Pinyin: gōngfu) is a well-known Chinese term used in the West to designate Chinese martial arts.
You can say that a person's kung fu is good in cooking, or that someone has kung fu in calligraphy; saying that a person possesses kung fu in an area implies skill in that area, which they have worked hard to develop.
Kung fu is also a name used for the elaborate Fujian tea ceremony (Kung-fu cha).

Kung Fu is a television series that ran for three years beginning in 1972, about the adventures of a Shaolin monk in the Wild West armed only with his skill in martial arts.
After many adventures, the television series ended and Kwai Chang Caine passed beyond the eyes of fictive history, outside of a 1986 TV movie starring Carradine and Brandon Lee in which Caine was forced to fight his hitherto unknown son.
Though his character is not named, he is shown to be a master of Kung Fu and trains Lizzie's brother Matt in much the same way that Caine was taught as a child.
